Cougar Celebration 2010 Email: CC2010.info@gmail.com Planning is underway for the annual Project
Graduation
event where CHS graduating seniors attend a festive night of food,
games,
entertainment, and prizes in a safe and supervised setting. Called
“Cougar
Celebration”, this provides a fun alternative to the sometimes risky
partying
that often occurs around graduation and similar events are held all
over the
country. More than 75% of the CHS graduating seniors
attend. CC2010 Student Admission
Tickets on sale
January 15. Seniors - this fabulous
memorable
event costs only $20 to attend. The earlier you buy your ticket,
the
cheaper the price AND the more chances you get for prizes that night.
Tickets
will be on sale during lunch every Friday. (Same table where prom
tickets
are being sold.) Family Nights at Area Restaurants -
These area businesses will donate funds to CC2010 when you eat at their
location. (See CC2010 website for flyers.) Golden
Lake Chinese Buffet(on-going,
no
ending
date – Identify yourself as a CHS friend/family.
Must
show CHS student ID or fund raising flier. Print out some flyers to
keep
in the
car. Anytime you are hungry for Chinese consider Golden Lake at 11005
Burnet.

Donations, Gift
Bag Items Needed Every year for the past 10 years Senior parents of CHS form a committee to help raise money to throw a party for the senior class the night of graduation. Our kids will be Seniors next year so therefore we will be the Cougar Celebration 2011 parents. As part of the CC2011 parent committee we are already starting to raise money so that when our kids are Seniors we can give them a great party. This is (an all-night, alcohol-free, drug-free party for the graduating seniors of 2011) Fund raising projects are being scheduled and will be announced as they come along. Class of 2011 will have the "Car Crashing" booth at the Deutschenfest this year on May 14th, 15th and 16th. Please mark your calendars with these dates. We are looking for Juniors and or their parents to work the booth for about 3 hours either day. If you or your son or daughter can help us out we would really appreciate it. CC2011 will also be selling water at the booth so if you can donate a case of water that would be very much appreciated as well. We can make anywhere from $2000 to $3000 this weekend for our CC2011 party for our kids. Can you help us out on May 14th or 15th in the evening between the hours of 6:00pm to 11:00pm or May 16th anytime between the hours of 11:00 am to 11:00pm?? We would also like to invite each of you to our next CC2011 meeting on April 26th@ 7:00pm at Connally High School in the library so that you can hear more about Cougar Celebration 2011. Website!
Our PTA's number one goal this year is COMMUNICATION. This website is dedicated to keeping parents, teachers, and community members updated on PTA events and school activities. Our kids and our school benefit from an informed and active parent/teacher community. Please consider joining the PTA, attending at least one meeting this year and checking this website often for updates. We invite all our PTA members to join our Connally PTA Yahoo Group. This email group shares information and helps us communicate quickly with all parents and teachers. If you are a PTA member and have not received an invitation to join the yahoo group, please send an email to: secretary@chspta.org Volunteers are always needed. Easy and short assignments are available. If you have time during the day to help teachers make copies, organize paperwork or monitor hallways, please contact us. We are also looking for adults with interesting skills or jobs to share their talents and knowledge with our kids. If you are interested in speaking to class, please contact us. We need your stuff! yes, the economy has hit us all, and CHS is no exception. We need all sorts of miscellaneous supplies and "stuff". Our science lab needs frogs, our environmental science class needs irrigation hoses and fertilizer, and all of our teachers need Kleenex tissues and pencils. Cash, gift cards and all wish list donations can be sent to the PTA for distribution and would be greatly appreciated. Please Contact Us if you have anything CHS might be able to use.
